Maryland has Confirmed Just Under 8,000 COVID-19 Deaths

Maryland is just shy of confirming its 8,000th coronavirus-related death after state officials on Monday reported 14 more Marylanders have died from the virus, raising the state’s total number of COVID-19 fatalities to 7,999.

There are also 185 deaths suspected to be related to coronavirus, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.

Officials confirmed 682 new coronavirus cases, bringing the state’s total caseload to 400,705 on Monday. The state surpassed the 400,000-case mark on Sunday.
