A powerful new book aims to help people struggling with the pandemic and the economic shutdown with an agile process called goal mapping. In The New You: Goal Mapping and Pivoting in a Changing World, management expert Greg Derwart has authored a quick read on how to achieve success during challenging times.
“Since the pandemic started, I have seen so many individuals searching for meaning in their lives,” said Greg Derwart. “People just have this growing desire to reset and reprioritize. I realized when things are difficult it’s the ideal time to share my proven method to set life-changing goals.”
The New You walks through Derwart’s five-step goal mapping process, developed in part from lessons learned from four mentors who positively influenced his life, and taught him how to become a true servant leader.

As part of the book launch, Derwart will be sharing key take-aways from the book, beginning with a keynote presentation to Ultimate Advisor Mastermind, a popular virtual conference for financial advisors.
“Derwart’s book provides essential, practical advice to identify goals, and more importantly, create the right habits and routines to achieve them,” said Augie Chiasera, President of M&T Bank, Greater Baltimore/Chesapeake Region. “His ideas and approach are some much needed direction and focus coming out of the craziness of 2020.”
A Maryland native, Derwart has served as chief operating officer and other senior-level operations roles in both public and private sectors. He serves on several nonprofit boards.
