Notre Dame Prep School brought the Plaza to Hampton Lane in Towson, and the world noticed!
Notre Dame Prep seniors Erin Crayton, Grace Glennon, Nancy Halleron, Serenity Holmes, Annie Newton, and Jiana Stamas gave a shout out to Today Show hosts Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, and Craig Melvin this morning. Here is a link to this spot.
This feature came about after a campus event on Friday, January 29, the day the Class of 2021 would have boarded a bus to the Big Apple for the traditional Senior Class Trip to New York City. Unfortunately, the trip was canceled this year because of COVID-19. NDP faculty and staff members creatively reimagined the 55-year school tradition by bringing New York to NDP and transforming the school’s center courtyard into “Central Park South.”
Following the event, the Today Show featured a picture of a group of NDP seniors along with cardboard cutouts of the hosts. Later NDP was then invited by producers of Today to record the message to the hosts that aired on Tuesday, February 9.
This is the first time since its establishment in 1966 that NDP’s Senior Class Trip to New York City has been canceled.
