Maryland Reports 54 More Coronavirus Fatalities as Death Total Nears 6,000

Maryland is approaching 6,000 coronavirus deaths, with state officials on Tuesday reporting 54 more COVID-19 fatalities.

As of Tuesday morning, Maryland has confirmed a total of 5,913 coronavirus deaths to date, and another 169 deaths are suspected to be related to the virus.

At least 289,758 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 2,575,342 have tested negative as of Tuesday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
