Maryland Confirms More Than 2,000 New Cases For 18th Straight Day

Maryland on Friday confirmed more than 2,000 new coronavirus cases for the 18th consecutive day.

Before December, the state had only seen 10 other days of the pandemic with a daily number of new cases of 2,000 or more.

At least 246,553 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 2,387,177 have tested negative as of Friday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
