Maryland Reports 50 New COVID-19 Deaths, Highest Daily Death Total Since May

Maryland on Tuesday reported 50 new coronavirus-related deaths, the highest number of COVID-19 fatalities reported in one day since May.

The state has reported fewer than 50 deaths each day since reporting 53 deaths on May 27.

To date, a total of 4,755 Marylanders have died from COVID-19, and another 161 residents’ deaths are suspected to be related to the virus.
