Maryland has Confirmed More than 2,000 New Coronavirus Cases for 16 Out of the Past 23 Days

Maryland has reported more than 2,000 new coronavirus cases per day for 16 of the past 23 days after not reaching that mark at all before November.

The state first crossed the 2,000-case mark on Nov. 14 with 2,321 new cases reported that day, after reporting fewer than 2,000 new cases each day for the first eight months of the pandemic.

At least 217,329 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 2,240,700 have tested negative as of Monday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
