Maryland Confirms First COVID-19 Death of Child Between 0 and 9 Years Old

Maryland confirmed its first coronavirus-related death of a child between 0-9 years old on Monday, state data show.

Since Sunday, the state reported 16 deaths due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of fatal cases to 4,486. There are also 155 deaths suspected to be related to coronavirus.

Of the Marylanders who have been confirmed to have died from coronavirus, one was 0-9 years old; three were 10-19 years old; 26 were 20-29 years old; 53 were 30-39 years old; 139 were 40-49 years old; 361 were 50-59 years old; 717 were 60-69 years old; 1,126 were 70-79 years old; and 2,058 were 80 years or older.
