Maryland recorded an additional 2,353 confirmed coronavirus cases on Friday, the second largest daily number of new cases after the state recorded 2,910 cases on Thursday, state data show.
On Nov. 14, Maryland reported 2,321 new cases–the first time the state had reported more than 2,000 cases in one day. Since then, Maryland has recorded more than 2,000 cases per day for five of the past seven days.
At least 177,086 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 2,008,345 have tested negative as of Friday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
