Maryland Confirms 2,910 More Coronavirus Cases, Marking the Largest Amount Reported in One Day during Pandemic

Maryland reported an additional 2,910 confirmed cases of coronavirus on Thursday, the largest number of cases that the state has reported in one day during the pandemic, state data show.

For four of the past six days, Maryland has reported more than 2,000 new cases per day. The state had not reached 2,000 daily cases until reporting 2,321 cases on Nov. 14.

A total of 174,733 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 1,994,775 have tested negative as of Thursday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
