On Friday, November 20 a team of Baltimore City Firefighters will volunteer their time at The SEED School of Maryland to assemble 400 Thanksgiving meals for families of the School’s students and other members of the community. Each meal will include a turkey and all the trimmings to make a delicious and special Thanksgiving meal for their family, compliments of The Ed Reed Foundation. (Ed Reed will not be in attendance.)

The 10 ^th annual Ed Reed “Thanksgiving Blessings” looks a little different this year. There are fewer students currently on campus to take meals home for the holiday, therefore, meals will be delivered to the student’s families through community centers near their homes, located at various locations around the state. And this year, meals will also be distributed in the community by the Baltimore City Department of Neighborhoods.

The meals will be assembled and packaged on campus from approximately 9:30 am to noon and distributed between 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

The SEED School of Maryland (SEED Maryland) is Maryland’s first and only public, college-preparatory boarding school, offering an extraordinary learning and living experience in preparation for college and beyond. SEED Maryland is in Southwest Baltimore and serves students who could most benefit from a 24-hour learning environment. SEED Maryland opened in 2008 and graduated its first class in 2015.
