Maryland’s Coronavirus Hospitalizations Top 1,000 Patients as New Cases Continue to Surge

Coronavirus-related hospitalizations in Maryland have surpassed 1,000 patients for the first time since June, state data showed on Tuesday.

There are currently 1,046 Marylanders hospitalized due to coronavirus, a level that has not been reached since the state recorded 1,059 hospitalizations on June 6.

Maryland reported an additional 2,149 coronavirus cases, the second largest number of cases that the state has reported in a single day after Maryland recorded a pandemic high of 2,321 new cases on Saturday.
