Coronavirus Weekly Recap (Oct. 15 – 22): Average Positive Test Rate Above 3% for Nine Straight Days

Maryland’s seven-day average rate of positive coronavirus tests has been higher than 3 percent for nine consecutive days, state data show.

After the average rose to 3.09 percent on Oct. 13, it has remained above the 3 percent mark every day since.

Over the last seven days, an average of 3.1 percent of the state’s COVID-19 tests have come back positive. That is up slightly by 0.02 percentage points from the seven-day average rate of 3.08 percent last Thursday.
