Pessin Katz Law is pleased to announce that Diva Bole has been named to the Baltimore Business Journals 40 Under 40 Class of 2020.

A native of Cecil County, Maryland, Diva is an Associate in PK Law’s Corporate and Real Estate Group. She focuses her practice area on business formation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial lending, financing and leasing, complex contracts, and corporate restructuring. Prior to joining PK Law, Diva was an associate at a firm in Wilmington, Delaware, where she focused her practice on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions for public and privately held corporations and alternative entities.

Diva graduated magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law. While in law school, she was the Note Development Editor of the Boston University Law Review and the Secretary for the Middle Eastern and South Asian Law Students Association. Diva is active in the community. She served on the Board of Directors for At Jacob’s Well, a nonprofit in Baltimore that provides transitional and permanent housing for those who are homeless and mentally ill. She also co-hosts and presents at a regular networking program at PK Law, participates in the firm’s community service activities and mentors young associates at the firm.

The Baltimore Business Journal's 40 Under 40 award and publication honors the best and brightest of Greater Baltimore — individuals who stand out from the crowd for their strong commitment to their companies, nonprofits and community – all under the age of 40. Each year the BBJ’s 40 Under 40 class is chosen from the hundreds of nominations that are submitted and the expertise of the BBJ’s editorial staff and represents the best of the region’s young businesspeople. The honorees selected are those who have achieved personal career success, started and grown businesses, dedicated their lives to solving community problems through nonprofits, and pushed themselves and those around them to improve Greater Baltimore as a whole.

The BBJ editorial staff noted in reference to the 2020 list,“It was no small task to narrow this list down. Our editorial staff spent hours sorting through more than 300 nominations, all of them uniquely impressive, and looked back at their records of professional accomplishments, examples of community leadership, awards and other milestones.” They also commented that particularly in such trying times as we are currently in, it is nice to be able to celebrate so many successes.

The BBJ will be profiling all 40 winners and celebrating them at a virtual event in November.
