Steve Burkhart—a commercial lawyer and litigator with more than 25 years of experience who for over a decade was vice president, general counsel, and secretary at BIC—has joined Ballard Spahr, firm Chair Mark Stewart announced today.

Mr. Burkhart is a member of Ballard Spahr’s Litigation Department. He is resident in the firm’s Baltimore office.

“Over his career, Steve has handled an impressive array of matters, from those concerning intellectual property and product liability to ones involving internal investigations and insurance work,” said Jason A. Mr. Burkhart came to Ballard Spahr after serving in-house at SLS Insurance Company and BIC, the multi-billion dollar global consumer products company.
