Maryland’s Coronavirus Hospitalizations Jump by Largest Amount Since July 29

Maryland hospitalized 24 more people due to coronavirus, marking the largest one-day increase since July, according to data that the state released today.

The state has not seen its current hospitalizations increase by as large an amount as today for about a month and a half, when the metric rose by 27 from 544 hospitalized patients on July 28 to 571 on July 29.

Of the 371 Marylanders who are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 278 are in acute care and 93 are in intensive care.
