
Lyft announced today an expansion of the LyftUp Jobs Access Program, a program that offers free or discounted rides to people looking for a job. Lyft works in partnership with United Way and Goodwill to run the program.
In Baltimore, the United Way will distribute the Lyft ride credits. The expanded program also includes a digital hub to make it easier to access rides. The hub includes a donation link to give individuals the opportunity to support services and transportation needs. Job seekers needing transportation, training or placement are connected with Goodwill and United Way.
In addition to working with Goodwill and the United Way, Lyft is working with local organizations that are already focused on providing access to job-related opportunities for underserved communities.
