On October 17, 2020, Kennedy Krieger Institute, internationally known for providing a wide range of services for children, adolescents and adults with diseases, disorders or injuries that impact the nervous system, will host its second annual “Management of Chronic Pain in Children and Adolescents” Conference. This one-day virtual conference will feature national experts and focus on recent advances in treating chronic pain in children and adolescents.

“We look forward to hosting this insightful conference for the second year in a row and educating healthcare professionals about pediatric pain and ways to treat it and support this vulnerable population,” said M-Irfan Suleman, M.D., a pediatric pain specialist at Kennedy Krieger Institute and a member of the conference planning team. “With health and safety being our number one concern, we decided to go virtual with the conference this year. Given this change, we hope to reach and engage a wider audience than ever before.”

During the conference, presenters will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding Pediatric Chronic Pain
  • Headache in Pediatric Chronic Pain
  • Bridging the Gap Between Medicine and Psychology in Pediatric Chronic Pain
