After Months of Raising Alarms on Rent Struggles, Maryland Families March to Governor's Mansion
Tenants and advocates from across Maryland will convene in the state's capital to tell Governor Hogan that time’s up for him to act and protect Maryland renters from eviction. With courts resuming eviction cases on July 25 and approximately 145,000 Marylanders at risk of losing their homes, renters escalate their advocacy by evicting Governor Larry Hogan for failing to protect families.
The #CancelTheRent coalition has been pushing Governor Hogan for relief since the coronavirus stole jobs and income away from otherwise stable families. Those excluded from government relief have been ignored for months, pointing to major Maryland leadership failures.
