Maryland reported an additional 24,148 coronavirus test results today, the largest number released in a single day.
On Wednesday, state official set the previous record with 21,535 results, surpassing the 21,140 cases reported last Sunday.
The state confirmed 707 new coronavirus cases, the third time in the last four days the number has surpassed the 700 mark.
An average of 4.43 percent of coronavirus tests over the past seven days came back positive.
