Maryland’s COVID-19 Hospitalizations Decline After Two-day Rise

After increasing for two days, Maryland’s coronavirus hospitalizations on Thursday dropped by 11 patients, to 436, state data show.

The state’s total number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose by 648, an increase of 0.86 percent, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.

At least 75,664 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 616,865 have tested negative as of Thursday morning.

Of Maryland’s confirmed coronavirus cases, 11,687 people were hospitalized at some point. There are currently 299 patients in acute care and 137 in intensive care.
