Maryland Sees Largest Increase in COVID-19 Cases, Hospitalizations in More Than a Month

There are 29 more Marylanders hospitalized due to COVID-19 since Monday, the state’s largest one-day increase since May 26, state data show.

The state’s total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases rose by 733, marking the largest number of cases reported in one day since June 5 when there were 912 new cases.

A total of 74,260 Marylanders have tested positive for coronavirus and 591,809 have tested negative as of Tuesday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.
