Maryland’s Number of COVID-19 Patients in Intensive Care Continues to Decline

Maryland’s number of COVID-19 patients hospitalized in intensive care units has decreased for four straight days after fluctuating slightly last week, state data show.

One week ago, there were 142 Marylanders in intensive care, and the number is down to 108 patients today–the lowest it has been since March 29.

There are currently 278 patients in acute care. Of the state’s confirmed coronavirus cases, 11,467 people were hospitalized at some point.
