Maryland COVID-19 Hospitalizations Decrease After Three-day Uptick

Maryland’s coronavirus-related hospitalizations have begun to decrease once again after increasing slightly for three consecutive days this week, state data show.

The number of hospital patients being treated for COVID-19 in Maryland has fluctuated this week after previously declining for 32 straight days.

Hospitalizations fell from 1,338 on May 27 to 446 on June 28. Then the number of patients rose by one on Monday, five on Tuesday, and nine on Wednesday before decreasing by 20 today–dipping to 441 patients, the lowest point since the beginning of April.
