Maryland COVID-19 Hospitalizations and Intensive Care Patients Remain Steady

The number of Marylanders who are hospitalized for coronavirus and the state’s number of COVID-19 patients in intensive care have decreased slightly or remained the same for three straight days, and those figures have held steady for about a week, state data show.

At least 30,485 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 121,702 have tested negative as of Friday morning, state officials said. The state’s total number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose by 1,111, an increase of about 3.8 percent.

Of the state’s total number of confirmed cases, 5,811 people who tested positive for COVID-19 were hospitalized at some point, including 1,674 who are currently hospitalized.
