While a lot of companies have allowed their employees to work remotely for years now, others believe that the work cannot be done without any supervision. But while micromanaging is necessary sometimes overdoing it does not do anyone any favors. Due to the viral outbreak of the deadly virus COVID-19, a lot of countries are in lockdown. And this situation has forced companies to adopt the policy of work from home in order to keep things running in these difficult times. While you may be excited that you would not have to commute anymore in the coming weeks, working from home is not as simple as it may sound. When you are working under your own supervision, your employer will expect you to deliver better results. Also, you would not have the luxury of having all the resources that you have back at your office. A HIGH-QUALITY HEADSET
Working from home will mean that you will be attending all the meetings via Zoom or Skype. So, to make sure that you communicate without any glitches, it is recommended that you get a USB headset for your laptop. There is a built-in mic on your laptop, and obviously, you have the speakers as well. But if you use those for your meetings, you would not be able to communicate properly. Your voice will distort, and the others in the meeting will not be able to hear from you. The laptop speakers are also not that great to put out the voice of every member of the meeting clearly. Also, you should prefer a headset over headphones because headphones go directly into your ears and are more harmful if you are going to wear it all day.
