Marianne Schmitt Hellauer
Marianne Schmitt Hellauer, a partner in DLA Piper's Baltimore office, was named to the Daily Record's 2020 list of Top 100 Women. As a previous recipient of the Top 100 Women award in 2004 and 2017, Hellauer was also honored as a member of the publication's "Circle of Excellence" recognizing three-time honorees.
Hellauer was recognized for her excellence in client service, dedication to mentoring and leadership in the community. Hellauer is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is a past chair of the Estates and Trusts Section Council of the Maryland State Bar Association. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Catholic Charities of Baltimore, the Board of Trustees of the University of Baltimore Foundation, Inc., the Johns Hopkins Lyme Disease Research Center Advisory Board, and as a Trustee of the John L. Stasiak Foundation.
Hellauer concentrates her practice primarily in the areas of estate and tax planning for individuals and closely held businesses, the drafting and construction of wills and trusts, estate and trust administration, and charitable giving.
