The law firm of Andalman & Flynn, PC has announced that managing partner Mary Ellen Flynn recently authored a collections article for the Maryland Bar Journal, the flagship publication of the Maryland State Bar Association. Published in Volume 1, Issue 3 of the 2019 Maryland Bar Journal, the article was entitled, “Getting Paid: Stress Less and Earn More”.

In the article, Ms. Flynn shared her extensive collections acumen in an effort to help other attorneys acquire the hard-earned monies to which they are entitled. She offered up comprehensive, nuts-and-bolts guidance regarding the necessary steps to the effective collection of attorneys’ fees, including details as to how retainer agreements should be drafted and powerful strategies for the most productive client billing. In addition to her contribution to the Maryland Bar Journal, Ms. Flynn has authored numerous articles for prestigious publications, including the Practice Manual for the Maryland Lawyer; Fifth Edition; the newsletter of Maryland State Bar Association,The Litigator; and the journal of the Maryland Association for Justice, Trial Reporter. A cum laude graduate of Washington College of Law at American University, she has obtained an A/V® rating from Martindale Hubbell®, the highest possible peer review rating of attorneys for ethics and legal ability. A highly respected “lawyer’s lawyer”, Ms. Flynn routinely represents other attorneys and frequently lectures on collections law. She has also served as an expert witness in Maryland state and federal courts as an expert on collections law and attorney’s fees.
