MVLS To Host “A Taste For Pro Bono” Fundraiser To Benefit Marylanders In Need Of Civil Legal Services

3/5/19

Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS), the largest provider of pro bono civil legal services to low-income Marylanders, will host its annual fundraiser on Tuesday, April 2 from 6-9 p.m. at Union Craft Brewing in Baltimore. This year’s theme, “A Taste for Pro Bono,” will feature local restaurants serving signature dishes, craft beer from Union Craft Brewing and behind-the-scenes brewery tours – all in an effort to increase access to free legal services for Marylanders in need.

“While many people have come to enjoy and support our March Madness event held at M&T Bank Stadium each year, we needed to go in another direction this year due to construction at the stadium,” commented Bonnie Sullivan, executive director, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS). “We are pleased to partner with Union Craft Brewing and the local restaurants to bring this year’s “A Taste for Pro Bono” event to life. From the donations and sponsorships we receive during our annual event, we’re able to help thousands ofMarylanders navigate civil legal challenges that threaten their families, homes, employment and independence.”

The premier sponsor of this year’s event is Miles and Stockbridge with generous support from several other law firms and solo practitioners, including Baker Donelson, Gordon Feinblatt, Schochor, Federico and Staton, Frost & Associates, among many others.

Tickets for MVLS’ “A Taste for Pro Bono” are $100 per person and include local fare, craft beer from Union Craft Brewing, brewery tours, live music from “Off the Ladder” band and a 50/50 raffle. Currently, there are 12 confirmed restaurants participating in the event, including:
