Seasoned Counselor Possesses Decades of Experience in Family Law

The Montgomery County-based law firm of Andalman & Flynn, P.C. has strengthened its growing family law practice with the addition of Nelson A. Garcia, who will be joined the firm on January 22, 2019 as Of Counsel. Mr. Garcia was formerly a partner with Chevy Chase firm of Thyden, Gross and Callahan, LLP.

A member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars, Mr. Garcia practices in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, and domestic violence.He is a superb litigator and a highly skilled negotiator and mediator. He also has experience in appellate brief writing and argument before the District of Columbia and Maryland Courts of Appeal, as well. Mr. Garcia is a former Commissioner for the Montgomery County Maryland Commission for Women.

Mr. Garcia earned his Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School in 1983 and his B.A. in English and in Business from Florida State University in 1979. He lectures frequently on divorce and separation, domestic violence and other family law matters and is a frequent talk show participant on radio and television, sharing his analysis and insights in these areas. Of Cuban heritage and raised in Miami, Mr. Garcia speaks fluent Spanish.
