Baltimore magazine will bring three new series of intimate, unique events to life for subscribers and readers in the local community

Baltimoremagazine has announced plans to launch three brand new experiential event series. Baltimore will work year-round to bring Meet The…Series, In Good Company, and Fit Club to life for subscribers and the local community.

“In launching these events, we hope to continue to inspire Baltimoreans to discover more, do more, and be more,” said Amanda Brown, director of marketing and audience development for Baltimore magazine. “The events allow our readers and the larger community to learn new things, explore new hobbies, and engage with our editors, topic experts, and others who have shared interests.”

The Meet The... Series will feature five intimate, workshop-style events where guests can meet the editors and inspirations behind the monthly issues and articles. A few of the featured events that will be available include a spa-like retreat featuring beauty and wellness experts in celebration of the 2019 Beauty Issue, a cooking class with local chefs in celebration of the annual Best Restaurants issue, and a holiday-themed cocktail-building workshop and happy hour led by local mixologists in celebration of the December issue. All of the events will be timed in coordination with their issues releases to highlight the editorial coverage.

“These signature events bring Baltimore magazine’s cover stories and features to life while providing attendees with a truly unique, interactive, and insider experience,” said Max Weiss, editor in chief for the magazine. “They offer an opportunity to become part of the story.”

In Good Company, the new networking series, is designed to inspire authentic and meaningful relationships within the business community. Professionals can step away from the computer and meet new business leaders, entrepreneurs, and others face-to-face to talk strategy, explore partnerships, exchange ideas, and share stories. There will be three networking events hosted throughout the year: “Shaping Company Culture” in January, “The Future Is Female” in July, and then “Creative Connections” in October. The culmination of this series will be at the “Made in Maryland” Brand Summit which will be held in December of 2019 in coordination with the magazine’s feature story in the December issue. The networking series is being produced in partnership with Weller Development Company. Blue Water Baltimore is the nonprofit partner for the series.

Finally, Fit Club, the inaugural workout event series, will include four pop-up classes designed to connect the community through innovative fitness classes at some of Baltimore’s best boutique studios. A variety of exclusive exercise classes and post-sweat gatherings will take place throughout the year, all benefitting NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore, the nonprofit partner. These insider events will have limited space and are only being offered to Baltimore magazine e-newsletter members. Those interested are invited to visit bmag.co/fitclub to sign up to become a member.

“Baltimore magazine is so much more than the award-winning print edition we put out each month,” said Michael Teitelbaum, president of Baltimore magazine. “Our team researches, cultivates, and curates content, and now events, to inspire authentic experiences for those who live, work, play and visit the Baltimore area.”

Baltimore will continue to host their annual Best of Baltimore Party and other signature events throughout the year.
