Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, a mid-sized business law firm headquartered in Baltimore, MD with offices in Annapolis, MD and Wilmington, DE, is pleased to announce that Kristen Jones has joined the firm as an associate in its Real Estate group. Barry Greenberg, RMG’s Managing Partner and head of the firm’s real estate practice group, said: “The firm is exceptionally fortunate to have been able to add Kristen to our real estate practice, with her sophisticated experience in leasing matters and other areas of real estate.”
Since 2011, Kristen has represented landlord and commercial developer clients in the financing, construction, and leasing of over 10 million combined square feet of projects throughout the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. She focuses on drafting leases and accompanying documents including amendments, assignments, extensions, and waivers. Kristen’s practice includes experience in amendments, subordination and non-disturbance agreements, assignments, subleases, and letter agreements. She also works with national and local banks, credit unions, and other financing institutions.
Prior to joining RMG, Kristen started her real estate practice with a law firm specializing in commercial real estate matters in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Before attending law school, Kristen was a financial analyst at a Big Four accounting firm, where she conducted operations statement reporting and analysis. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, ICSC, and Women in Retail Real Estate (WIRRE). Kristen is a member of the Board of Directors for STEAMd, Inc., a nonprofit designed to create awareness and encourage young girls to attain careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
Kristen received the Super Lawyers Rising Star recognition for 2019. She was also recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 attorney by The National Black Lawyers professional association in 2016 and 2017. She has been a Themis Bar Review advisor since 2012, providing advice and mentorship to approximately 30 students per bar exam review session. Kristen earned her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law. She is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland.
