Charm Kitty Cafe, one of the only places where you could grab a coffee, work remotely and make some feline friends, is closing in July, the cafe announced in a Facebook post.
“Charm Kitty always has been and always will be about positivity, creating a space where kitties can roam peacefully and interact with all of us,” the post read. “Thank you to everyone that helped bring Charm Kitty Cafe to life. We are forever grateful.”
Since it opened in March 2017, Charm Kitty Cafe has adopted out 100 adult cats. The cats were supplied to the cafe by the Baltimore Humane Society. At the time of the opening, Wendy Goldband, a spokesperson with the Baltimore Humane Society, said the cafe would allow for the group “to rescue that many more cats, because we can take in more than what we would normally be able to in our shelter.”
