Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBGI +0.2%) and the Justice Dept. are still in discussions over what divestitures would be required in connection with Sinclair's $4.6B proposal to buy Tribune Media (TRCO -0.6%), according to the DOJ antitrust chief.
“We haven’t reached an agreement with them on what the final resolution would be for antitrust purposes,” Makan Delrahim told reporters at a Federalist Society event. (h/t Bloomberg)
Reports in early May had the DOJ signing off on an elaborate divestiture package, but those reports look premature now.
