Koh joins DLA Piper from the National Economic Council, where she served as Special Assistant to the President of the United States for Technology, Telecom and Cybersecurity Policy. She has extensive experience in a range of issues associated with US technology policy, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, as well as substantial legal, regulatory and legislative experience in the media sector. As part of her role at the National Economic Council and while previously serving as deputy chief counsel for the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Koh handled a range of issues of national importance to the media, tech and telecom industries.

"Grace brings unique insights and invaluable experience to the challenges facing our clients in this era of dynamic technological change," said Michael Senkowski, co-chair of DLA Piper's Telecom practice. "She is an important addition to our growing Telecom team and will provide instant and invaluable assistance to the clients and industries that we represent."

In addition to Koh, DLA Piper's Telecom practice, part of the firm's global Intellectual Property and Technology practice, has made a number of additions in recent months, including partners John Beahnand Edward "Smitty" Smith; engineering advisor Ira Keltz; attorney Gary Michel; and associates Dana Zelman, Ian Forbes and Sean Robinson.

"Grace's broad experience and capabilities, particularly in the areas of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, make her a natural fit for our global IPT platform, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the firm," said Ann Ford, co-chair of DLA Piper's US IPT practice and the firm's US head of Sectors. "She brings a valuable perspective due to her experience overseeing the legislative process, as well as a strong understanding of the issues that are highly relevant to many of our clients."

Koh earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her B.A. from Yale University.
