MDOT Awards Vitamin Minority Recertification for Seventh Consecutive Year

9/26/17

Vitamin®, the woman-owned web and public relations agency headquartered in Baltimore, Md. was recently awarded recertification by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE). This is the agency’s seventh consecutive recertification.

Led by Amanda Karfakis, president and CEO, Vitamin has been certified by MDOT since 2010. “What sets Vitamin apart from other MBE firms is that we have the skills and knowledge needed to serve as a long-term, strategic public involvement partner,” Karfakis said. “Our clients have been particularly impressed with our ability to be highly responsive from the RFP stage through project completion, our in-depth understanding of the complexities of minority contracting and our ability to drive results.”

The certifications, administered through MDOT, qualify Vitamin to conduct business as an MBE/DBE service provider throughout the state of Maryland and for federally-funded U.S. DOT contracts. The agency received certification in all of its areas of expertise, including: graphic design, web design, advertising, public relations / public involvement, display advertising and direct mail.

Vitamin has partnered with quality organizations such as the Baltimore Water Taxi, the Business Network for Offshore Wind and the American Diabetes Association to help them achieve their inbound and outbound marketing and communications goals.
