The Health Facilities Association of Maryland (HFAM), in conjunction with the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL), announced that nine skilled nursing care centers and assisted living communities in Maryland have earned top recognition for quality care. The awards honor providers across the nation for demonstrating strong commitment to improving quality of care for residents and patients in need of long-term and post-acute care.
The associations’ Quality Award program challenges member providers to achieve performance excellence through three progressive levels – Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Five providers in Maryland earned Silver distinction, while four providers earned Bronze. In total, Maryland now has 11 Silver and 52 Bronze award winners. Members at both levels have developed and demonstrated effective approaches that improve performance and quality outcomes for patients in their facilities.
The providers in Maryland that earned Silver recognition are:
- Charlotte Hall Veterans Home
- Brinton Woods Post-Acute Care Center
- Sunrise of Severna Park
- Maplewood Park Place
- Cherry Lane Nursing Center
Providers in Maryland that earned Bronze recognition are:
- Hebrew Home of Greater Washington
- ManorCare Health Services – Largo
- Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center
- Landow House
