Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBGI +0.7%) is extending its affiliation agreement with CBS (CBS +3.3%), adding on to deals in Salt Lake City; Austin, Texas; South Bend, Ind.; and Gainesville, Fla.
The multi-year deal extension would cover Tribune Media's (TRCO +0.4%) six CBS stations if Sinclair can complete its $3.9B buyout, Sinclair says.
It also paves the way for local content to be available via the CBS All Access app.
