GKV, one of Baltimore’s largest integrated marketing firms, today announced it has added four new employees to its roster. To accommodate the agency’s new business and increasing digital needs, GKV has made the following new hires:
Evita Barbour, Senior Web Developer
Barbour joins GKV as a Senior Web Developer where she creates visual content for client websites and makes improvement updates for a seamless user experience on those sites.
In Barbour’s former role at IBM she was a UX UI Developer Designer, where she designed and developed custom GUIs, UX/UI and created system application icons, banners and interactive mocks with coded demos and sketched wireframes and style guides. Barbour is a graduate of the Art Institute with an associate of fine arts degree in multimedia web design.
Sterling McKinley, Paid Search Specialist
McKinley has been appointed Paid Search Specialist at GKV. His role includes planning, developing and managing Paid Search/Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns in search platforms, including account structure, keyword research and development, ad copy creation, bid strategies and other staple PPC functions for clients in a range of verticals.
In McKinley’s former role as SEO/PPC/Digital Marketing Manager at Merritt Athletic Clubs, he focused on leading their overall digital marketing strategy, including website, SEO, social media, PPC and content marketing and analytics. In 2006, he earned a bachelor’s degree in communications/public relations from Morgan State University.
Raymond Gungon, Digital Production Developer
Gungon joins GKV as a Digital Production Developer. In this role, he builds HTML5 banners, mobile-ready web animations, responsive emails and landing pages to support various digital advertising campaigns. Additionally, he assists with quality assurance and user experience review of other digital projects.
Prior to joining GKV, Gungon worked internally for the U.S. Postal Service. He is a graduate of the Catholic University of America with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science.
Sara French, Copy Editor
French supports the Agency as a Copy Editor by proofreading everything from television and radio scripts to print ads and web banners. She ensures that all items are consistent, error-free and follow all style guidelines. French also assists with various internal agency projects.
French previously interned at Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore as a proofreader. She was responsible for editing documents sent to the government for funding, pamphlets and advertisements, letters mailed to local businesses and website content. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and English and textual studies from Syracuse University.
