DLA Piper Names Brett Ingerman Baltimore Office Managing Partner

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Brett Ingerman has been named managing partner of the firm’s Baltimore office. Ingerman focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation and arbitration, particularly complex commercial disputes and lender liability issues. He also counsels clients on corporate investigations and global compliance issues and serves as global co-chair of DLA Piper’s Compliance and Governance practice.

Ingerman is a Baltimore native with deep roots in the region. After earning his J.D. from the University of Maryland in 1994, he clerked for the Honorable Glenn T. Harrell, Jr. on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Ingerman has been with DLA Piper’s Baltimore office for 22 years. In addition to his legal work, Ingerman is also involved with various civic and charitable organizations, including serving as board chair of the CollegeBound Foundation.

Ingerman succeeds Paul Tiburzi, who has served as DLA Piper’s Baltimore office managing partner for 14 years and is also chair of the firm’s State Public Policy and Administrative Law practice. Tiburzi will continue to focus on counseling clients in the areas of public law, sports law and administrative litigation matters. He will also continue to support DLA Piper’s role in the Baltimore community through his practice and civic involvement, including his service on the Executive Committee of the Greater Baltimore Committee.
