Carol Cooper Named Adelberg, Rudow’s Litigation Practice Group Chair

Carol Ghingher Cooper

Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC has named Member Carol Ghingher Cooper, Esq. Chair of the Litigation practice area.

“It’s an honor to be selected to lead the Litigation Practice Area, and I look forward to working with our skilled and experienced group to strengthen and expand our firm’s already well-established practice,” Cooper said.

Cooper joined Adelberg as an associate in 2002, focusing primarily on family law. She represents clients in matters related to divorce, custody, visitation, child support, pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, adoption and other civil litigation.

During her career, Cooper has been selected as a “Maryland Super Lawyer” from 2014-2017 and a Rising Star from 2010-2012. In 2016-2017, she made the “Top 100” list in Maryland in addition to the “Top 50 Women” in Maryland.

Actively involved in the family law committees of the Baltimore City and Baltimore County Bar Associations, Cooper was Chair of the Family Law Committee of the Baltimore City Bar Association in 2008-2009. In the summer of 2015, Cooper Cooper was appointed as a Standing Auditor for the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. In this role she handles all Baltimore City Circuit Court matters requiring an audit and examines, states or settles accounts referred to her by the court.

In addition, Cooper serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Collaborative Professionals of Baltimore and is a frequent contributor to family law publications.

Cooper earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Order of the Coif, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Union College. She has two grown children.
