Jellyfish, a global digital marketing agency, announces today the hiring of Shawn Smith as U.S. Director of Social Media. In this role, Smith will oversee the Jellyfish social media team, build upon the Agency’s existing capabilities and craft successful, data-driven campaigns for clients. His hiring marks the 51st hire for Jellyfish in 2016.

Smith joins Jellyfish from AB&A Advertising in Miami where he was a digital media director. In this role he managed a department that handled all digital marketing for the agency’s clients in a variety of industries such as health and medical, automotive and entertainment. During this time he was also the marketing director for Miami Web Fest, a web series awards program. Prior to his role at AB&A, Smith was a social media strategist for a social media agency working with high visibility clients as well as a web strategy & social media manager for Wiredset, a real-time digital agency, where he worked with television networks, recording artists and other entertainment companies.
