Middle Grades Partnership, a nationally recognized education-based nonprofit, has elected Geoff Genth as the newest member of its board of directors. MGP increases educational opportunities for academically promising Baltimore City middle school youth through public and private school partnerships.

As the co-chair of Kramon & Graham's Nonprofit practice group, Mr. Genth brings decades of experience to the organization in risk management and governance matters involving independent schools and other nonprofit entities.

"I have been following the good work of MGP for some time and am so impressed with what they've accomplished," commented Mr. Genth. "Working with Baltimore City public school students, MGP provides structure and learning opportunities that prepare students to excel in academically rigorous high schools," he continued. "The staff is extremely talented and fully committed to improving the educational opportunities available to these promising youths. It's a privilege to serve on the board and contribute to their good work."

In addition to his nonprofit practice, Mr. Genth is a trial lawyer with broad experience in complex business disputes and professional-liability cases. He has extensive experience handling disputes among shareholders of closely-held corporations.

Mr. Genth's litigation experience includes the representation of major pharmaceutical manufacturers, power companies and investment banks, as well as individual professionals.

In addition to serving as a past-president of the board of governors of the Maryland Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, Mr. Genth is a former chair of the board of Hopewell Cancer Support, Inc., and a longtime trustee of the Jane Egenton Foundation.
