$1 from all Large Iced Coffee sales on June 23 will be donated to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center
Dunkin’ Donuts of the Greater Baltimore region today announced that it will host an Iced Coffee Day fundraiser on Thursday, June 23 to benefit Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
On Thursday, June 23, $1 from all Large Iced Coffee sales at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Greater Baltimore region will be donated to Johns Hopkins to help support the hospital’s mission to provide patient- and family-centered health care in a diverse and inclusive environment, be a leader in innovative research that leads to prevention and effective treatment of childhood diseases, and to train the next generation of leaders in pediatric medicine.
“We are so grateful to companies that generously donate their time and funds to help our pediatric patients and their families,” said Cynthia Palacz, Senior Associate Director of Development, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. “Programs like this one can help offset a number of other costs for families at the hospital and allow our patients to get the care that they need and focus on getting well.”
“Our franchisees are always looking for new ways to give back to the local community, and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is an organization that is truly making a difference here in Baltimore,” said Colleen Krygiel, Field Marketing Manager, Dunkin’ Brands. “We are honored to partner with the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center for the Iced Coffee Day fundraiser and look forward to helping improve the lives of children and families in the Baltimore community.”
The Iced Coffee Day fundraiser is a part of Dunkin’ Donuts sixth annual Community Hero Award Program, which strives to honor those individuals who are truly making a difference in their local communities. Since 2011, Dunkin’ Donuts of the Greater Baltimore region has honored 50 extraordinary individuals in the first five years of its Community Hero Program. Those recognized served their communities with purpose and passion in roles ranging from doctors and nurses to teachers and non-profit activists.
