One of the three Baltimore liquor commissioners appointed by Gov. Larry Hogan – and then ousted by the legislature – has filed a suit challenging the law that gave temporary authority to city officials to appoint Liquor Board members.
Douglas H. Trotter, along with Dale L. Watkins, a city resident and daughter of a West Baltimore bar owner, yesterday filed suit in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court against Hogan and a host of others public officials including Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, House Speaker Michael E. Bush, Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., and City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young.
