Unemployment Rate Falls to 4.7% in Baltimore County

6/1/16

Baltimore County’s unemployment rate fell to 4.7% in April, a positive employment trend in Maryland’s third largest jurisdiction. The U.S. unemployment rate stands at 5%.

“More and more Baltimore County residents continue to find jobs. This upward trend signals a strengthening local economy,” said Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz. “We also know these numbers mean there are still people in the county looking for work. Our workforce development counselors stand ready to help with their job search.”
