Voxy EnGen, a NYC-based language upskilling platform provider, secured $6.75m in Series A financing.
Backers included Rethink Education, The Social Entrepreneurs’ Fund, the University System of Maryland Momentum Fund, Juvo Ventures, and The American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by Dr. Katharine Nielson, Founder and Chief Education Officer, Voxy EnGen delivers personalized English training for in-demand careers in collaboration with employers, educational institutions, and community-based organizations that support New Americans.
Incubated at Voxy Inc., the company currently works with dozens of partners in the U.S., including Futuro Health, Queens Public Library, and the University of Maryland College Park.
