Saad Chaudhry

Luminis Health announces Saad Chaudhry as its chief information officer (CIO), effective Nov. 2.

Chaudhry has more than 17 years of progressive technology experience in the health care industry serving in leadership roles at Johns Hopkins Medicine, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, McKesson and, most recently, Gartner and the Saudi German Hospitals Group in the United Arab Emirates.

As CIO, Chaudhry is returning to Luminis Health where he formerly served as associate chief information officer for Anne Arundel Medical Center from 2017 until 2019.

“We are excited to welcome Saad back to Luminis Health,” says Victoria Bayless, CEO of Luminis Health. “His depth and breadth of experience uniquely qualify him to carry forward our vision for frictionless, customer-first care – both in our facilities and via our virtual platform.”

“Luminis Health’s hospitals are known for innovation in the digital space,” says Chaudhry. “I look forward to driving the health system’s strategy of leading with advanced technology in both clinical and business operations. And I am excited for the immense positive impact this will continue to have in the communities we serve.”

Chaudhry is a certified healthcare chief information officer through the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and was recognized in 2019 as a “Top Future-50 Leader” by Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Middle East for his transformational IT leadership at Saudi German Hospitals Group.

Chaudhry holds a Bachelor of Science in information sciences and a Master of Science in communications and information systems from Robert Morris University. He also holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
