Kelly Louise Barton and Chelsea Anspach

The Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore is pleased to announce two new hires – Kelly Louise Barton as marketing manager and Chelsea Anspach as communications manager. Both roles help Waterfront Partnership fulfill its mission of creating and managing a world-class destination while inspiring a cleaner, greener future for our neighborhoods, streams, and harbor.

“We’re thrilled to have both Chelsea and Kelly join the team. Their expertise and commitment to our mission is vital in making sure our work is seen, heard and understood in the community,” said Matt Shaffer, director of marketing communications for the Waterfront Partnership.

Serving as marketing manager since January, Barton is responsible for the digital and print design, content creation and e-mail marketing strategy for the organization. She brings nearly a decade of graphic design, illustration and marketing experience to her new role. She previously was the managing editor for the digital magazine What Weekly and runs her own marketing and design company where she worked as a consultant to Waterfront Partnership since 2014 illustrating the trash wheels, and designing fliers, reports, beer can labels, and more for the Healthy Harbor Initiative.

Barton is originally from New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in journalism and media studies. She resides in Baltimore City and loves to illustrate, experiment in the kitchen and spend time with her pitbull, Mako.

As communications manager, Anspach is responsible for producing online content and fundraising campaigns, as well as managing the organization’s social media presence, including those for Mr. Trash Wheel and Professor Trash Wheel, Healthy Harbor and the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore. She has several years of experience in social media management, partnership development and public engagement at organizations including the Baltimore Museum of Industry, Annmarie Sculpture Garden and ArtJamz in Washington, D.C.

Anspach grew up in Southern Maryland right between the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River, and graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in studio art. She is passionate about Baltimore City and bringing the community together through humor, science and creative storytelling.
