Olumide Kayode

Early Charm Ventures, a venture studio that converts science to business, today announced the hiring of Olumide Kayode, PhD – a Mayo Clinic and National Cancer Institute (NCI)-trained scientist – in a move to bolster its Drug Discovery and Aquaculture company portfolios.

Dr. Kayode joins the Early Charm team as an ardent structural biologist with detailed knowledge of protease biology and enzyme catalysis. His research experience includes stints with the Cancer Research Training Program within the NCI as well as with the Mayo Clinic Graduate School focusing on Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. Dr. Kayode will initially focus on Revolve Technologies, one of Early Charm’s Drug Discovery portfolio companies.

"Much of our Early Charm company portfolio relies on understanding proteins, including Revolve, SilcsBio, Rasio Therapeutics, Abri Science, VakSea and Gaskiya Diagnostics,” says Alex Meltzer, PhD, CEO of Revolve and Principal with Early Charm. “Dr. Kayode’s knowledge brings to a new level our growing scientific team of protein experts. His expertise will help anchor our drug discovery (life science) technical team and drive our companies forward.”
